The Municipal Chief executive for the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh has expressed satisfaction with the arrangements put in place at the 3 Senior high Schools in his Municipality he visited after 48 hours of schools reopening.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh tour some 3 of the SHS in his Municipality on Wednesday 24th June, 2020 to monitor the progress of the Presidential directives as the final years and Gold track 2nd year students has returned to school.
At Krobo Girls SHS, the headmistress, Mrs. Betty Aduhene-Chinbuah in his brief report to the Chief Executive of the area indicates that majority of the expected students are back to school in the early days after schools has reopened.
She continued to account to the Hon. MCE of the quantity of PPE’s the School management have received from government which is so motivating enough for the Teaching and Non-teaching staff to commence with academic business.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh and his entourage took the opportunity to tour the sites of the several ongoing emergency projects of ruling NPP government which is aim at ending the double track system in the second term of their government.
Krobo Girls SHS is currently having under construction a modern Home Economics Complex with its Classroom block, 12 Unit 2 Storey 12-Unit Classroom block with ancillary facilities, multipurpose modern 2 Storey Dormentary block and the almost completed over 2000 capacity Dining hall complex.
Hon. Simon Kweku expressed satisfaction at the progress of work at Krobo Girls SHS.
The Hon. MCE and his entourage continued to Akro Tech. SHS where after engaging with the Management of the School visited the sites of the ongoing 12 Unit 2 Storey classroom block with ancillary facilities which is currently at an advanced stage as well as a an Institutional W/C Toilet facility as the Hon. MCE disclosed to www.krobolandonline.com that the contractor is expected to complete the projects in due course since both projects are currently are at an advanced stage.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh used the opportunity to applauds the efforts of the Management of Akro Tech. SHS under the able leadership of Mr. Philip N. Donkor, Headmaster of the school for the remarkable work they are doing to get things running smoothly despite the numerous challenges as he assured them of more government intervention support projects soon.
The Municipal Chief executive and his entourage ends their busy working day at Makrosec where the School’s Management under the leadership of Mrs. Agnes Nanor Narteh puts in place unique checks at the entry which the Hon. MCE expressed admiration.
All visitors and the students entering Makrosec are Lentreated to go through mandatory hand washing with Soap under running water after which vitals are being taken and recorded in a database which will help the school authorities to easily track people in times of emergency.
The headmistress in his brief report to the Hon. MCE and his entourage assured that everything is under control as the School has received majority of their expected students and PPEs from the Government.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh and his visiting entourage visited the sites of the ongoing 6-Unit Classroom block with ancillary facilities project and the 12 Unit 2 Storey classroom block with ancillary facilities project under the Emergency projects of the government as the Hon. MCE expressed his satisfaction at the progress of work but all the same entreated the contractors of both projects to up their games to complete all the projects in the shortest possible time to compliment the infrastructure situation of the School.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh in his address to all the students he encountered on his tour to adhere strictly to the laid down public health protocols to stay safe during this trying times. He assured the students of maximum government’s support to during their stay in school in this Coronavirus crisis period.
