Churches and Mosques in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality have received protective equipments as part of government support for the partial reopening of religious activities.
In effect, the MCE, Simon Kweku Tetteh and Hon. Samuel Nuertey Ayertey, deputy Eastern Regional presented Veronica Buckets and some other accessories to leadership of the various churches and mosques in a short ceremony held at the forecourt of the Municipal Assembly.
The Hon. MCE in a brief speech entreated the Christian and Muslim leadership gathered to use their platforms to help in the education and sensitization of their congregation and beyond.
He continued to say that the religious leadership is a key stakeholder in the fight against the Corona virus crisis and the Churches and Mosques must serve a good example by adhering strictly to the laid down public health protocols during their service periods.
Hon. Samuel Nuertey Ayertey applause the religious leadership in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality for abiding strictly by the government directives in this challenging times.
He assured them of more government support in the coming days to help them smoothly run their religious activities in these trying times.
Prophet Isaiah Larweh, Chairman of the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Council of Church applauded the President of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for this great move to support the religious organization.
He pledge on behalf of all the churches that formed the Municipal council of churches to strictly adhere to the laid down public health protocols and the other directives as the council has already taken measures to monitor the operation of its member Churches.
