719 Frontline health workers in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality out of the expected 1113 have received their first jab of the Covid-19 vaccines.
This is part one of the vaccination exercise for frontline health workers in the Eastern Region who will be leading the mass vaccination in the Region.
Mrs. Selasi Etsra, Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Disease Control officer at the Municipal Health Directorate said the exercise has been successful so far as over 60% of their target has received the vaccine in just 4 days of vaccination.
She continue to say that the Municipal Health Directorate has made other convenient arrangements to continue with the vaccination on Tuesday 6th April, 2021 after the Easter Break.
Mr. Bismark Sarkodie, Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Director of health Services also received his vaccination on Thursday 1st April at the Municipal Health Directorate vaccination center at Atua.
The Municipal Health Director in an exclusive interview with www.krobolandonline.com entreated all the Frontline health workers in his Municipality who are yet to receive their first jab to make their selves available after the Easter break since the vaccines are made to help them in the frontline to be able to discharge their mandate as health workers.
Dr. Edna O. Asamoa-Agyare, Medical Superintendent of Akuse Government Hospital in a separate interview with www.krobolandonline.com indicated that as leaders must always lead by example, her Good self as well as all management of the Akuse Government Hospital in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality has received their first jab of the Covid-19 vaccines.
