The Manya Division of Manya Krobo under the leadership of Okpatakpla Sasraku IV in collaboration with the Pan African Rising Movement and the office of the MP of Lower Manya Krobo, Hon. Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi organised a durbar of chiefs and people at Manya Kpongunor to welcome twenty-three Americans with African descent who are here to reconnect with their African identity.

They were taken through a typical Krobo traditional naming ceremony where the La bead was tired on their wrists and were later decorated with beads amidst the drumming and dancing of Klama and Obonu music and dance.

It was a sight to behold. Okpatakpla Sasraku IV in his speech admonished the Americans to make Manya Krobo their second home and collaborate with local folks and businesses to boost the local economy, improve the environment and forge new directions for our common future.
