Alive Today, an NGO in Kpong, in the Lower Manya District, which is focused on youth and children education, on Friday, July 28th, 2023 had the second edition of its Educative Program dubbed; The Candidates Conference.
The conference was aimed at guiding and educating all the B.E.C.E candidates in the Kpong circuit who are preparing to write the final exams towards their choices of programs in the second cycle schools.
The program had four focused areas which were;
Secondary courses and career path, TVET courses and career path, School selection and placement and Life after JHS.
The conference was graced with resources persons from the Ghana Education Service and Ghana TVET service.
Mr. Adams Richard, head of I.C.T, Anum Presby Technical Institute spoke on TVET courses and career path, Mr. Joel Anim also spoke on SHS courses and career path while Mad. Sophia Samadji spoken on School selection and placement.
The program was also graced by Pastor Samuel Dadzie, District Pastor, Church of Pentecost Kpong who spoke on Life after school and also took the students through a short prayer section.
Mr. Peter Archiborn Aglogo, COE of Switches Electrical and Solar Solutions which is based in Accra was also there to speak to the students on his journey of life as a motivation.
In all there were 18 Junior High Schools made up of 589 students and 17 teachers from the kpong circuit among other dignitaries in attendance.
The CEO and founder of the Organization, Miss Sandra Lewu Teiko, also use the opportunity to encourage the students to make use of their God given talent and also try to be good citizens.
She also thanked all stakeholders and supporters of this great initiative.
