Atua St. Paul Presby Junior High School marked its 26th Anniversary with a grand durbar held at the school’s forecourt on Thursday, November 14, 2024. The event brought together students, alumni, dignitaries, and traditional leaders to celebrate the institution’s legacy of excellence and its contribution to the Krobo Land area.
The anniversary witnessed a strong turnout of alumni, many of whom have achieved prominence in various fields. They returned to honor their alma mater and pay tribute to the teachers who played a pivotal role in shaping their lives.
Call for Support
The current headteacher, Mr. Timothy K. Baah, who has led the school since 2017, was honored for his exceptional leadership. In his address, Mr. Baah appealed to stakeholders and the public to support the completion of the school’s multipurpose building project. Once completed, the facility, initiated by the school community, will play a significant role in advancing the institution’s development agenda.
Special Guest Address
Mr. Samuel Kwesi Tettey, the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality Education Director, served as the special guest for the occasion. He stressed the importance of active parental and stakeholder involvement in the daily activities of the school, emphasizing the lasting impact of its alumni on society.
Mr. Tettey also reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the education system within the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, expressing optimism about positioning the municipality as a hub for educational excellence.
Traditional Leadership Representation
The event was graced by traditional leaders, including Nene Akpatsu Amoatey Azza from the Yilo Klo Traditional Area, who served as the chairperson for the ceremony. Notably, Nene Azza was part of the school’s first batch of BECE candidates, symbolizing the school’s enduring legacy and impact over the years.
The 26th-anniversary celebration highlighted Atua St. Paul Presby JHS’s rich history and reinforced the call for collective effort in ensuring the school’s continued growth and success.
