Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality has assured the leadership of Agormanya Market of his commitment to transform the market into a modern market soon.
The MCE made this statement during a site meeting with stakeholders, contractors, consultants and other opinions leaders at the site of the ongoing 188 Lockable stores at the Agormanya main Market.
The 188 Lockable stores Projects under the Secondary Cities Program at the Agormanya Market is part of the Market upgrade initiative which is intended to transform the market into a modern standard when completed.
The Hon. MCE in conformation to his commitment to the development of the Market, he was able to add 72 Concrete Frame Market Sheds with Wholesale Stores and a Borehole to the existing facilities at the Market within his four years in office.
In conclusion he made his intentions known to the Contractors of WIN-Meg Ventures Ltd and Hawkrad Construction Ltd who are working on the project which is in 2 lots during the site meeting to speed up the project which has all administrative support available.
The Market leadership was represented by Manye Korkor, Manya Krobo Markets Queen Mother who appeals to the constructor to increase their workforce to enable them finish the work to reduce the inconvenient level at the market now.
Mr. Selorm Tibu, Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Coordinating Director suggested to the constructors that in the best interest of completing this project which is already far behind time, if there’s any issues that is causing the delays, the doors of the Hon. MCE and all the technical and administrative officers at the Municipal Assembly are always open for deliberations.
Representatives from the utility service providers that’s Ghana Water Company Limited and Electricity Company of Ghana were also at this all important site meeting organized by the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly and the consultant.
