Krobo Girls Presbyterian SHS fraternity on Friday 25th March, 2022 as part of activities of their 95th Anniversary Celebration named some facilities in the School after some past Headmistresses of the School.
The colourful ceremony which saw a lot of Dignitaries and members of Krobo Old Girls Association present was Presided over by Rev. Abraham Djaba Okai, Dangme-Tongu Presbytery Chairperson.
In his brief address during the gathering before the naming of the various facilities after the past heads of the School called on the entire gathering to always serve whole heartedly wherever they find themselves since if their are not even rewarded during their stay, if only they leave a rich legacy behind, their achievement will call for honor in their name one day.
The Modern Multipurpose over 5000 Seater Capacity Assembly Hall was named after the immediate past Headmistress of Krobo Girls Presbyterian SHS, Cecilia Obenewa Appiah as a massive label reading Cecilia Obenewa Appiah Hall was unveiled by the Presbytery Chairperson and other dignitaries.
The 21-Unit Classroom block of the School was also named as Gladys Kabuki Appiah Block. Mrs. Gladys Kabuki Appiah as per information gathered arrived at Krobo Girls SHS as a National Service Personal and raise through the ranks and head the school as a Headmistress before leaving to head a college of Education as Principal where she proceeded on compulsory retirement.
The Science block of Krobo Presbyterian Girls SHS was also named as Vida Anno-Kwakye Block. Mrs. Vida who was the only person among the 3 who were honored on that day who is of blessed Memories and had her family present and received the Citations on his behalf.
Mrs. Betty Aduhene-Chinbuah used the opportunity to expressed his heartiest appreciation to the Dangme-Tongu Presbytery, Manya Krobo Traditional Council, Board of Governors, Municipal Assembly, the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality Education Directorate among others who by their support and approval has seen the naming of the above mentioned facilities after the past Headmistresses who gave their all in line of the development of the School to this higher heights.
