A Sinotruck Tipper carrying limestone with Registration Number GS 4039-18 crashed into one of the hills near the Asitey Curve in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, killing both the driver and his mate onboard.
One person was rescued from beneath the tapped Tipper Truck already dead, while the other person was confirmed dead before arrival at the Atua Government Hospital by the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Henry Coleman.
Fire officers from both the Somanya and Kpong Fire Stations, under the leadership of DOII Ebenezer Kofi Djabatey, the Somanya Fire Commander, and others from the Odumase-krobo District Police Command, have taken over the accident scene for further investigations.
