Beneficiaries of the New Anointing Child Development Centre in Akuse in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality have received support to help boost their English language literacy and proficiency initiative.

As part of their strategic objective of improving the English language literacy and proficiency of beneficiaries registered under the Centre launched a library program and also gave out books mainly novels, bibles, devotionals, children and youth graded leadership and child protection materials to be received by beneficiaries of the Centre.
The items were received on behalf of the beneficiaries by the executives of the caregivers and beneficiaries.
Mr. Albert A. Ebeheakey a former Assistant Headmaster at YIKROSEC and a renowned educationist was the special guest of honor at the short ceremony.
In his brief address to gathering at the event, he elaborated on the importances of Education and the usefulness of reading especially at this early ages.
He tasked the caregivers to play active roles in giving quality education to their Children since the Management and donors at the New Anointing Child Development Centre cannot shape the future of their beneficiaries alone.
The New Anointing Child development Centre in previous weeks gave out a total of 4500 pcs of educational materials (i.e., note 1 & 3 exercise books and textbooks) to beneficiaries and currently runs an English language child literacy program for fifty (50) beneficiaries with the assistance of Speak Write International.
Mr. Jonathan Akplah, Project Director at the New Anointing Child Development Centre, Akuse entreated the beneficiaries to put this very important reading material into good use for their own good.
