The National Youth Authority at the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly has on thursday began a capacity training program to equip the youth with career opportunities in the Municipality.


43 young people were expected to acquire skills and entrepreneurial training on liquid soap making, hand sanitizers, bathing gel, dettol, “azouma blows” among others at the end of the training session.

Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for the Municipality addressing the participants at the opening ceremony encouraged them to take advantage of this among other Government initiatives to acquire relevant skills that will help them to have additional sources of income.

The Hon. MCE added that since they will be awarded certificates at the end of the training puts them in better position to access Government soft loans to establish their own businesses which will serve as a source of employment to others as well.

Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh advice the participants to take the training very serious since it can as well serve as an employable skills for their own good.

Madam Rejoice Amedomeh, CEO of Rejoice Enterprise Ltd who was the main resource person for the first day of training programme took the participants through the practical processes involved in producing a Liquid soap and Dettol.

The facilitating team indicates that by the end of this skills training program, the participants will be skilled with the production methods of Liquid Soaps, Dettol, bath gels, alcohol based hand sanitizers among others.

The Municipal acting director of NYA, Madam Luyusa Akilu Mohammed Zabado also took the B A C head and the beneficiaries through Bookkeeping and entrepreneurship skills.
