The New Chairperson of the Dangme-Tongu Presbytery, Rev. Abraham Djaba Okai who assumed office on the 1st day of September, 2021 has begun his familiarization tour to stakeholders and institutions within his working zone.

A delegation led by Rev. Abraham Djaba Okai and Mrs. Beatrice Odame-Asare, Administrator at the Presbytery visited the Manya Krobo Rural Bank Limited headquarters at Abanse where they had interaction with the CEO of the Bank, Mr. Edmund Ohipeni and some Management members of the Bank as they officially introduce the new Chairperson of the Dangme-Tongu Presbytery to them.

The delegation continue to Meet Hon. Simon Kweku, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality as well as his colleague, Hon. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor, the outgoing MCE for Yilo Krobo Municipality in separate meetings at the Various Municipal Assemblies and Rev. Abraham Djaba Okai wished them well as he assured the Management and staff of both Assemblies of his Readiness to work closely with them since they’re the Governing institution in the Municipalities.

The Odumase-krobo District Police Command under the able leadership of Supt. Doris Grant was the Next stop as the District Commander had the opportunity to officially welcome the Presbytery Chairperson to the area as she assured him of cordial and friendly working relationship and environment.

Rev. Abraham Djaba Okai on his second day of his familiarization tour met with his Royal Majesty, Nene Sakite II, Konor of Manya Krobo Traditional area at his Royal Palace at Odumase where Rev. Okai officially introduced himself to his Royal Majesty as he will be working from the Presbytery which is close to the Royal Palace.

Nene Sakite II, Konor of Manya Krobo Traditional area welcomed him home as he adviced him to be guided by the principles of good servant for the Lord himself to direct his ways.

Nene Sakite II assured the new Presbytery Chairperson of maximum cooperation from the entire Traditional Council under his leadership as he asked him to always feel free to approach him for the needed deliberation in the Best interest of the people.

The Somanya District Office of ECG under the able leadership of Ing. Edward Ochire also have the privilege to host the New Chairperson of the Dangme-Tongu Presbytery and his entourage on his familiarization tour.

The District ECG Manager, Ing. Edward Ochire also assured the Chairperson of his readiness to work with him as he welcomed him to the Krobo Land area.

Krobo Girls Presbyterian SHS being the only Presby SHS in the Dangme-Tongu Presbytery also had the opportunity to host their new Chairperson on his second day of familiarization tour in the area.

The Headmistress of Krobo Girls SHS, Mrs. Betty Aduhene-Chinbuah and her Management members welcomed Rev. Abraham Djaba Okai to the Pride Girls School in the entire Krobo Land area as well as in the Dangme-Tongu Presbytery.

In a brief meeting held at the Headmistress office, the new Presbytery Chairperson was introduced to the core management members of the School.

Rev. Abraham Djaba Okai on behalf of his visiting entourage expressed his heartiest appreciation to the Management and staff of Krobo Girls SHS for the great hospitality shown them. He assured them of his maximum cooperation and assistance in all times to move the great Krobo Girls SHS to the next higher level in the Academy ranking in Ghana.

The Chairperson and his visiting entourage had the opportunity to visit some examination centers in the School as the Final year students are writing their exams.


Rev. Stephen Amanor Tetteh and Rev. Francis Nartey Adamasi were also part of the delegation accompanying the New Dangme-Tongu Presbytery Chairperson on his familiarization tour which is expected to continue in the coming days.
