On Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, Hon. John Atteh Matey, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, joined some management members and staff of the Municipal Assembly from various units for a revenue mobilisation exercise at the Agormanya Main Market.
Speaking to www.krobolandonline.com after the exercise, Hon. Matey explained that the activity forms part of a new management strategy aimed at boosting the Assembly’s revenue basket. According to him, this will enable the Assembly to undertake developmental projects using its Internally Generated Funds (IGF).
He further disclosed that under his leadership, the Municipal Assembly has rolled out a detailed schedule that involves active participation of management members, including himself, as well as all other staff of the Assembly in supporting the Revenue Unit during mobilisation activities.
During the working visit, Hon. Matey also took time to inspect the Agormanya Fish Market, where he observed some of the harsh conditions under which traders operate. He assured the affected traders that steps would be taken to improve their working environment in the near future.
