A total of 2,012 people renewed their National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) membership, while 258 others were newly registered, during the Annual Free NHIS Registration and Renewal Initiative organized by St. Martin de Porres Catholic Hospital on Friday, March 6.

The initiative forms part of the hospital’s continued commitment to making healthcare more accessible to its cherished clients, particularly during health emergencies.

Speaking to www.krobolandonline.com after the exercise, Grace Netty, the Deputy Administrator of the hospital, indicated that the consistent increase in participation over the past three years since the program was introduced continues to motivate management to sustain the important initiative.

According to her, the exercise is aimed at supporting residents in Krobo Land and surrounding communities to maintain active NHIS coverage to enable them access healthcare services without financial difficulty.

She further reassured clients of the maximum commitment of the management of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Hospital, Agormanya, to continually provide them with the best healthcare services at all times.
